Candidates must be either a master’s prepared graduate fo an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program, with current MN RN license and certification (or eligibility) as an ANP, FNP or ACNP; or a graduate of an accredited Physician assistant program with current NCCPA certification and PA registration by the MN Board of Medical Practice. In either case, ACLS certification is required within 6 months of your hire date, and you must be eligible for DEA registration. Experience in blood and marrow transplant, hematology, oncology, internal medicine or acute care is highly desirable.

The PA will care for IPCU patents collaboratively with personnel on 5A and 5B and any other unit on which IPCU patients are admitted. The IPCU will provide specialized, expert care for patients with advanced cancers with complex palliative care needs.  The PA is a member of the interdisciplinary team, and as such, works with clinicians from social work, nursing, chaplaincy, care coordination, and psychiatry.
