Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, MN invites you to consider a dynamic, challenging career as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Transplant Center. Part of the multidisciplinary, Blood and Marrow Transplant Service team, you will work closely with consultants and fellows to ensure optimum care of adults inpatients and outpatients requiring follow-up on the BMT unit. Your focus will be on patients immediate medical and education needs, as well as post-operative care after patients return home, and will require a variety of internal medicine skills This is an excellent opportunity to work with a high level of autonomy with patients with hematologic malignancies and a diverse range of comorbidities. Shifts include days, evenings and nights.
Candidates must be either a master’s prepared graduate fo an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program, with current MN RN license and certification (or eligibility) as an ANP, FNP or ACNP; or a graduate of an accredited Physician assistant program with current NCCPA certification and PA registration by the MN Board of Medical Practice. In either case, ACLS certification is required within 6 months of your hire date, and you must be eligible for DEA registration. Experience in blood and marrow transplant, hematology, oncology, internal medicine or acute care is highly desirable.

Intensive Palliative Care Unit (IPCU) Physician Assistant (PA), is responsible for assisting the inpatient Palliative Care Program attending physicians and fellows in the medical management and palliative care of IPCU patients and in the palliative care consult service; and in addition, will provide cross-coverage care for Hematologic Oncology/ Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HO/HCST) patients and patients admitted for elective chemotherapy. The PA will care for IPCU patents collaboratively with personnel on 5A and 5B and any other unit on which IPCU patients are admitted. The IPCU will provide specialized, expert care for patients with advanced cancers with complex palliative care needs. The PA is a member of the interdisciplinary team, and as such, works with clinicians from social work, nursing, chaplaincy, care coordination, and psychiatry.

Texas Transplant Physician Group, located in San Antonio, is currently recruiting for an experienced Physician Assistant for the Adult Bone Marrow Transplant program at Texas Transplant Institute. Candidates with a graduate degree and strong adult hematology/ oncology experience are encouraged to apply.

There is an active research program with participation in multi-instructional and cooperative group trials.
